The Ministry of Railways is gearing up to launch its much-awaited ‘Super App’ by the end of the financial year 2024-25. Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and integrated with IRCTC, this all-in-one app aims to revolutionize the rail passenger experience by merging several existing apps into a single platform.
Currently, Indian Railways operates over half a dozen apps including IRCTC Rail Connect, Rail Madad, UTS, NTES, Rail Saarthi, and Food on Track. The new Super App will consolidate these, offering seamless access to services like unreserved ticket booking, live train status, travel insurance, food ordering, onboard services, and complaint registration. The app will be available on both Android and iOS, promising users a more efficient, space-saving, and user-friendly experience.
By streamlining digital services under one umbrella, the Super App reflects Indian Railways’ push toward digital modernization and customer convenience.
